Winnie the Pooh

YAY! Today is the 125th anniversary of Winnie the Pooh. I love Pooh. His name is a combination of two things, a black bear in the London Zoo named Winnie and a Pooh was the name of a swan in When We Were Very Young.Winnie may have been the original but my favorite character is Eeyore. His character is inspired by a Christmas present to Christopher Robin. I like him because he's different. Eeyore's first appearance on television was in 1983 in Winnie the Pooh and a Day for Eeyore I like Eeyore's attitude, he just takes life as it comes at him and doesn't complain much. "One can't complain. I have my friends. Someone spoke to me only yesterday." Eeyore. He is sarcastic and whitty. Well happy anniversary of Winnie the Pooh.

As I walk in those doors
And out of the bitter cold
There is hardly anyone here
I walk straight to my metal locker
And begin my long day
Soon I will deal with the white noise
The smell of coffee, poeple banging on the doors
The florescently lighted jail house from hell
Insignificant chatter,the petty complaints of others
I sit back and think, while eating my pop-tart
I'm glad I have my handful of friends
To conquer the abhorrent girls spouting out homework problems
And the cloud of perfume that covers the halls

Colors

Colors have so many meanings. They help artists express themselves, they create the mood of a story, and are just fun. They are used in movies, books, art, and lots of other stuff. Here's my list of colors...
red- anger, passion
blue- freedom, tranquility
green-money, truth, jealousy
orange-summer, heat
pink- love, friends
yellow-happiness
white-purity, cleanliness
black-death, negativity

Self- esteem

Lately I've noticed that people are way too preoccupied with looks and other people's opinions. I learned a long time ago that just because someone thinks you are something, doesn't me that you are that thing. I don't take people's opinions seriously unless they are being polite. Girls are starving themselves because someone called them fat, and guys are using steroids and various other things because people are making fun of them. I hate the way society makes the population feel. Not everyone can be a size double zero. I am not afraid to say how much I weigh or what size I wear, ask me I'll tell you. Nobody should feel inferior because they are bigger than Mary-Kate Olsen. The television is filled with plastic surgery shows. People may think that I'm snobby or stuck up but I have a high self-esteem. I don't let anybody tear me down. I am confident enough to walk around singing my heart out, or dancing like an idiot. I'm free to be myself because I'm not inhibited by other's thoughts. Take a look at your actions and thoughts, and ask yourself why. Do you do the things you do because of others or because you want to do them.

New Year Resolution

Most people who make New Year resolutions have crazy impractical challenges for themselves, not me. My resolution is to have $1,000 in my bank account by June. I need money in the worst way. My college education is going to be quite pricey, like most people's. I consider myself responsible and frugal. I feel like my resolution is inferior to most people's because it is small and I know I can do it. As for my expectations for the year to come, I have quite a few. I expect to graduate highschool. I expect to keep in touch with the people that mean the most to me. I also expect to have a hard time saying goodbye. I plan on making a road trip to wherever. I cant' write down every hope and dream I have for the year to come, it would take up three pages. The only thing I can say is that my blank book of 2007 will have a happy ending, no matter what.

friendship

"If you live to be a hundred,I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you."- Winnie the Pooh. Well, most people can agree with Winnie the Pooh. Friendship is the net to catch you when you fall off of the tight rope. If you fall, you can't live without it. I wouldn't want to live one day without atleast one true friend. "Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light."- Helen Keller. Helen has a point. The worst feeling in the world, in my opinion, is feeling alone. Even though it may be light out, I don't want to spend that time in the light alone. Imagine yourself in a dark cave with no flashlights. Do you want to be there by yourself with no one to talk to and lean on? Together you and whoever that person might be, can get out of the cave, eventually. Friends are a backup system, no matter what is going on in your life. The most loyal friend will be there through thick and thin. "Best friends just won't leave your side"- Blink 182. Cherish your friends and be yourself.
