Alone on Christmas

Everytime I think about Christmas, I think about family. I can't have Christmas without my family. To me family and friends are the meaning of Christmas. Toys and trinkets are not what Christmas are all about. I've never had the huge Christmas that I hear about from my friends. The television programs make it seems like Christmas is all about the presents. They show huge trees with montsrous presents underneath. That's good that a pretend family can afford to buy fake gifts on the televison but lets get real. Not too many people can afford a mountain of gifts. When I was younger I was mad that I didn't get as many gifts as the other kids at school. But looking back at the happy memories that are associated with Christmas time I'm glad that my family hasn't always had a lot of money. I appreciate my family more(even though I don't always show it) than a lot of people my age do. I can't wait for Christmas this year although it will me my last Christmas in New Jersey. I can't wait to spend it with the people I love. Try not to concentrate on the material things as much this time of year. Appreciate your family as much as I do mine.
